Established in 1974, Metro Glass is a family-owned glazing contractor with nearly five decades of experience in commercial glass installation and repair. We’re proud to be one of the longest-operating glazing contractors in Western Washington and for fostering meaningful relationships with general contractors, customers, and the top vendors and manufacturers for decades.
Our longtime affiliation with Local 188 also means we’ve developed strong bonds with union leadership and tradespeople, who’ve helped us build a reputation as one of the most responsive and reliable local glazing contractors. Building on our tradition of quality workmanship, we’re taking glazing into the future.
At Metro Glass, on-the-job safety is a top priority. That’s why we’ve invested time and money in obtaining certifications in several categories, including rigging, hoisting, forklift, scissor/aerial lift, swing stage, and scaffold. Our team is also up-to-date on CPR, AED, First-Aid, and OSHA and OSHA 30 training. Metro Glass holds an Experience Modifier Rate (EMR) of 0.85 as of 2022.
Metro Glass understands our workforce is the key to our success. We’re proud to be affiliated with Glaziers, Architectural, Metal & Glassworkers Local 188 and the Washington Glass Association (WGA) trade association.
We also work regularly with a wide range of local and national suppliers of glazing materials. These include Kawneer, Oldcastle, U.S. Aluminum/C.R. Laurence Co., Inc., Hartung Glass Industries, Tacoma Glass, Kingspan Light + Air (formerly CPI Daylighting), Crystalite, Inc., and Arcadia Inc.
